Elizabethan research

As the first part of my research into the theme of Elizabethan make up I decided the best thing to do would be to go straight to 'google images' and simply type in 'Elizabethan make up'.

After doing this I could see a clear trend in having a paler complextion and red lips that seem to be smaller than the lips natural line. 

After this I decided to look at images of Queen Elizabeth who was the epitome of Elizabethan beauty.

Here you can clearly see the link between the modern takes on this period makeup and the original version from the paintings of Queen Elizabeth.
